FULL! The February tour is officially full. Please check back in April for additional tour dates.

As you may already know, the Center for Great Apes is not open to the public and we only provide tours under special circumstances and for educational purposes.  Therefore, we are sure you will understand that all tours are subject to certain parameters.

The tour will run from 1:00-3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28th. Please arrive between 12:45-1:00 PM. Anyone who arrives after 1:15 PM will not be able to join this month’s tour and will have to reschedule. The donation cost is $25 per person.  All visitors will be required to register prior to tour date and sign our Visitor Consent and Release form the day of the tour. Registration is limited to the first 25 people.

The tour will be a walking tour of about ¼ mile on shell-rock paths with limited sitting spaces.  Be prepared to be in the Florida elements including sun, rain, bugs and other critters.  Please wear comfortable clothes, hats, and walking shoes and bring your own bottled water.  Please note that your scheduled visit may be canceled, rescheduled or interrupted at any time due to an emergency, staff availability, weather, routine care of the apes or other reasons deemed necessary.

To register for this upcoming tour or for more information, please call us at 863-767-8903 or email Lauren at outreach@centerforgreatapes.org.

Rock of Apes III on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at 5:30 PM MDT at the Wellshire Event Center in Denver, CO.

All proceeds from the evening, including from our incredible silent auction, will benefit their critical work to protect great apes. Our evening starts with dinner, featuring spectacular courses from our beautiful state of Colorado. Your admission also includes two drink tickets redeemable for an ‘Orangutini’ cocktail, wine, or beer. A full cash bar will also be available throughout the night. Over dinner, you’ll hear short talks on research and conservation by world-leading great ape experts, Dr. Graham L Banes, Patti Ragan, and Dr. Gary Shapiro. We’ll end the night with a concert featuring PHOENIX, one of the top-rated classic rock bands in the country. Known for their powerful, high-energy performances, incredible vocals and musicianship, PHOENIX is simply the best cover band you’ll see anywhere!

Tickets are priced at $50 (includes dinner and two drink tickets) and are now available securely online from EventBrite. Numbers are strictly limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment!
