Art with the Apes logo without ape.png

Now presenting Art with the Apes, a new opportunity for our members and supporters to visit and be inspired by our great ape residents!

On Friday, July 28th we will be offering the first ever Art with the Apes class where you can paint one of our selected ape residents with the help of our art instructor, Valerie DeLuca. For this class we've chosen one of our newest residents, orangutan Harry, to be our muse. You will be painting an abstract, colorful version of Harry that you can take home and proudly display. Come have fun with us, find your inner artist, and be inspired by our majestic great apes! No art experience is needed.

The class will run from 10:00am-2:00pm and will include a tour of the sanctuary and a visit with our muse Harry. Please bring a bag lunch or snack. A 16 x 20 canvas, paints, paint brushes, easels, and aprons will be provided for the class. The cost is $75 per person.

For additional information or to register for this class, please contact Lauren at 863-767-8903 ext 222 or

The class is limited to 12 people and participants must be at least 15 years old
